How Do I Add Tags to Questions in an Assessment?

Overview

In Skillways, questions created within an account are available to all users of the account. It is good practice to tag questions in an assessment to be able to easily find, edit, and/or reuse the questions in other assessments including pools. This guide will walk you through how to add tags to your assessment questions.

Adding Existing Tags to an Assessment Question

If your tags have already been set up in the assessment, they will be available for use through the tag manager when setting up your assessment questions. 

Select the three dots to the right of the question (1) and select manage tags (2)

Select the blue tag icon to access the Tag Manager

Select the tag/tags you wish to apply to the question.

When you have finished selecting your tags, click the tag icon again to close the Tag Manager.

Click the X to save the tags to the question.

Your tag/s should now appear to the right of the question. If the tag doesn't appear immediately, try refreshing the page.

Continue adding tags to other questions if desired.

Adding a New Tag to an Assessment Question

If your tags have not already been set up in the Tag Manager, you can set them up as you are building your questions.

Select the three dots to the right of the question (1) and select manage tags (2)

Select the blue tag icon to access the Tag Manager

Select the New Tag button

Add a label (1) for your tag, add a tag description (2), select a category (3) for your tag, and click create and apply (4).

Click the X to save the new tag to the question.

Your newly created tag should appear to the right of the question. If the tag doesn't appear immediately, try refreshing the page.
