What are Themes?

Overview

Themes in Skillways is a feature used to design the look and feel of the learning path. The themes feature offers the ability to easily edit the “skin” of a learning path to reflect your branding, colors, logo, and font. You can apply one or more built-in themes to any syndicated learning path or develop customized themes. Since a learning path can be syndicated from many links. Each link has the theme applied.

Note: The default theme in Skillways is accessibility compliant. Any changes to the theme should be made with accessibility in mind. Make sure that any color or font adjustments meet accessibility standards. 

Why Themes?

Themes offer a default option that is accessibility compliant and provides a professional look and feel to your course, saving you valuable time and effort. Alternately, the user-friendly themes feature makes it easy for you to customize a theme to reflect your institution or company branding (no graphic design expertise required!).  

Themes are applied when syndicating a learning path. Using themes allows you to re-skin content in a master learning path and distribute it to multiple learner audiences with a customized look and feel for each audience. The content for the learning path only needs to be updated in one place.
