Overview
There are several activity types you can upload in Skillways. This user guide covers how to upload a media file as an activity.
It is important to note that any activity in Skillways must be added to a page. You can add any content to the page. This is a great way to include an introduction to the activity or instructions. Alternatively, the page can be blank or only include a title if you prefer not to add any additional content. You can also add multiple activities to a page. For example, you can have a media activity and a file upload attached to the same page.
For specific instructions on adding Storyline or Rise files as media activities, review the How Do I Add a Storyline File as an Activity? and How Do I Add an Exported Rise Course? user guides.
Go to the Path and Add the Activity.
Go to the Edit tab from the Learning Path.

Hover over the page or activity that you want the assessment to come after and select the three dots to the far right (1). Then select new activity (2).

A new window will open that asks you to choose an activity type. Select Media.

A new window will open.

- Add the name in the box at the top. Note: Make the Activity Name short. It should just be a few words.
- Upload the zip file.
- Add the name of the initial file to display (i.e. story.html)
Add a Conversation if desired, set the grading method and attempts, and determine how you would like the activity to display.

When finished, select Save.
