How Do I Deactivate Activities in a Course?

Overview

Skillways allows you the ability to deactivate individual activities in a course. Deactivated activities are not visible to learners. By default, all activities are activated and visible. It is important to consider if the activities in your course are used in other course contexts prior to making any changes. Changes will be reflected in all courses where the activities appear.

Go to Progress

Select Progress (graph icon) from the upper right. 

A new window will appear opening in Grader view.

Access Settings

Select the blue gear icon in Progress to access settings.

Deactivate the Activity

Important Note: Before making any changes, be aware that changes will impact any other course or context where the path containing the activity or activities appear.

Select the check box to deactivate the activity or activities.

• A check mark indicates the activity is activated or visible to learners.
• An empty check box means the activity is deactivated or not visible to learners.

When finished, select the X to close Progress.

Activate an Activity

You can activate a previously deactivated activity at any time by following the same steps as above and selecting the check box next to the activity so that a check mark appears. This will make the activity visible to learners.

Important Note: As with deactivating activities, any changes will be reflected across all courses where these activities live, so be mindful before making changes.
