Overview
At times, you may need to enter a grade for an activity that a student hasn't submitted. This typically happens when students do not submit the activity by the stated due date. When students do not submit activities, data in Progress will not reflect accurately until a score for the non-submission is entered by the instructor. This article will walk you through how to enter a grade for non-submissions.
Go to Progress
Select Progress (graph icon) from the upper right.
A new window will appear opening in Grader view.
Locate the Activity You Wish to Grade
From the learner drop down menu, select the learner (1) you wish to grade and select the "no attempt" activity (2) you wish to grade from the activity drop down menu.
Enter the Grade
Select the No Attempts! Grade? button.
Select OK if a pop up window appears asking you to confirm you wish to grade the non-attempt.
A grade of 0 will automatically be added for the attempt. You can input a different grade in the grade box as needed.
You may add feedback if desired by selecting the Instructor Feedback button.
When you are finished, select the X to close Progress.
